Corrections & removal

Something needs attention?

For a public record, open an issue in the archive with its record ID or public URL and a short description of the correction or removal requested. You need a GitHub account for that optional public reporting route.

GitHub issues are public. Do not paste private information, an unpublished transcript, consent records, or proof of identity there.

For a private concern, use the existing CTRL+CHAOS contact page. Include the record ID or submission reference and describe the concern without sending unnecessary sensitive material. This route uses the main website’s existing contact service; Synapse does not send email.

What removal means

A maintainer reviews the request, prepares an archive removal change, and confirms it on the default branch. Synapse stops listing the record after the next successful snapshot refresh. A private moderation flag alone does not remove a public record.

Git history, forks, and third-party copies can persist. We cannot promise complete deletion from the public internet. If the archive issue tracker is disabled, use the private contact route.
